Kyogle will soon be home to a new $6 million sports stadium.
Funded by the state and federal governments, the centre will include a sports hall with a basketball court, gym, dance studio and 25-metre pool.
It will also act as an emergency evacuation centre in times of natural disaster.
A further $1.5 million has also been set aside to maintain open spaces between Woodenbong, Tabulam and Bonalbo.
That’s hoped to better protect them from future bushfires.
