Police say a ten-year-old boy is responsible for lighting a bushfire at Birmingham Gardens.
The blaze broke out in bushland off Sandgate Road on Saturday at around 11am, burning through three hectares before firefighters brought it under control.
The boy is being dealt with under the Young Offenders Act.
