And in Group 3 Rugby league, this Saturday the Taree City Bulls take on the Wingham Tigers in an emotional tribute game, dubbed the Krystlea Bridge Cup.
Daughter to Bulls Coach Gary Bridge and sister to player Todd, Krystylea passed away nearly 5 years ago from cancer at the age of 26.
The cup is always played against Wingham, where Gary and his brother played, now his nephews too.
“It’s a great family day for our family but it’s a great day for the community in conjunction with the Can-assist cancer group in Taree to raise a lot of money,” said Gary Bridge.
Family aside, Taree is looking too widen its one point lead on the ladder over Wingham.
