The New South Wales Ambulance Service has joined police in issuing a safety reminder to drivers travelling over the Easter long weekend.
Paramedics are urging motorists to abide by the road rules, and to take regular breaks.
They also say people who are holidaying away from home, should familiarise themselves with the location.
“A lot of times we receive calls from people that are for example camping and they have absolutely no idea where they are other than that they’re camping at say, Lake Keepit.”
