Two men were assaulted during an armed home invasion in Hamilton South last night.
A 29-year-old man and his 30-year-old friend answered a knock at the door at about 8pm when four men stormed into the house, one armed with a firearm.
They forced the two men to the ground demanding cash and drugs.
The four men left empty handed but the 29-year-old man was taken to hospital with facial injuries and bruising while the 30-year-old suffered swelling to the face.
