WILLIAMTOWN AERO PLAN MOVES AHEAD

Port Stephens Council has approved developer Hilton Grugeon’s $485-million plan for Williamtown, after two years of negotiations.

The 89-hectare development, known as the Aerospace Park, will include a hotel and retail precinct near the RAAF base and Newcastle Airport.

It’s expected to create more than 800 jobs.

The project also includes an educational centre designed to promote training in the aerospace industry.
