WATER RESTRICTIONS LIFTED

With combined storage levels at Cowarra and Port Macquarie dams now at 85 per cent, council has today lifted level four water restrictions across the region.

In place since February, it meant residents were restricted to using a hand held hose for half an hour from 6-6:30pm every second day.

Council says the community’s water consumption didn’t change a great deal while the restrictions were in place.

The area has returned to level one restrictions, meaning the watering of gardens can take place before 10am or after 4pm every second day.
