The Coffs Harbour Comets remain on top of the Group 2 rugby league ladder despite their first loss of the season to the Nambucca Heads Roosters.
Nambucca won the close encounter 36 to 30 while Woolgoolga 24 had a win over Macksville 18.
Orara Valley defeated Bellingen 52 to 12 and Sawtell was too good for Macleay Valley, winning 52 to 22.
