Police are appealing for witnesses of a Hunter crash, that left one woman dead and two men suffering serious injuries.
Shortly before 2.30pm yesterday, a 54-year-old man was driving a Mazda 323 with his 52-year-old wife in the passenger seat, southbound on the New England Highway at Aberdeen.
A 34-year-old man was travelling north, before the two cars collided.
The woman died at the scene, while her husband suffered serious lower legs injuries and remains in John Hunter Hospital in a serious condition.
The driver of the other car suffered serious internal injuries and remains in a critical condition.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is urged to contact the Hunter Crash Investigation Unit.
