Police are investigating an aggravated break and enter at a home in Elermore Vale.
A couple was assaulted after being woken by three men who’d entered the house just after midnight.
Officers called in the dog squad but are yet to track the offenders down.
The man and woman were treated at John Hunter Hospital for facial injuries, cuts and abrasions.
