EAGLES KEEP THREE-PEAT HOPES ALIVE

Edgeworth will face Lambton in Saturday’s NPL decider, after the Eagles won a dramatic two-leg semi final series against Broadmeadow in a penalty shootout.

Down 1-nil following the first game, the Magic levelled things up thanks to a Scott Pettit free kick.

In extra time, Daniel McBreen gave Edgeworth the advantage.

But substitute Jacob Dowse ensured the game went to a shootout.

Eagles’ keeper Nate Cavaliere was the hero for the home side, saving two penalties, before Dom Bizzarri gave Edgeworth the chance to win a third straight NPL title.
