In a win for workers, Hastie Group plumbers who last week thought they had lost their jobs when the company collapsed, have gone back to work.
One thousand positions have been saved throughout the country, two hundred and fifty of them in Queensland – including workers at the Gold Coast University hospital.
They’re back on the job thanks to a deal struck between the Plumbers Union and lead contractor, Lend Lease.
