To country cricket, and Armidale has booked a third round showdown with Tamworth after its 14-run victory over Gunnedah in the SCG Country Cup.
The visitors batted first to post a 135-run chase, but Adam Murrell cut down Gunnedah’s top order with a six-wicket haul.
Meanwhile Tamworth handed Muswellbrook a 9-wicket defeat in their clash.
