LORD HOWE ISLAND NAMED ONE OF THE WORLD’S BEST HOLIDAY SPOTS

Lord Howe Island, east of Port Macquarie, has been named as one of the best places to visit in the world.

Global travel authority Lonely Planet ranked the island fifth on its list – beating Spain, Croatia and the Amazon.

Perhaps not the most easily accessible though.

There’s only one flight per week to the island from the mid-north coast.
