RELIEF AS DECISION TO IMPLEMENT PAID PARKING IN BRUNSWICK HEADS GETS DEFERRED

Good news for Brunswick Heads residents – the decision to implement paid parking in the area has been deferred.
Byron Shire Council met today to again hear the arguments from the No Paid Parking group about why the area shouldn’t be metered, and they put forward a convincing argument.
“This is just not the right time to be discussing it – we’re in the middle of a pandemic and a recession. We had a couple of business people there speaking from their hearts about what they were going through, and I think that was convincing,” President of the No Paid Parking group, Kim Rosen, said.
Councillors will now decide it’s fate in March 20-22.
