PARENTS NEXT OPENS ITS DOORS IN TAMWORTH
A new service to help eligible parents plan and prepare for employment by the time their children go to school has officially opened in Tamworth today.
The ‘Parents Next’ program helps government supported mums and dads set education and employment goals, and reach them by connecting with local support services.
“Identify barriers or challenges to being able to access work so we would assist them with study, with transport, with any housing,” Sarah Hunt, Regional Manager.
Client numbers have grown rapidly in recent weeks, with a second consultant to start at the newly-renovated Tamworth hub next week.
“We have a fantastic hub of computers that our participants are able to use so they can do TAFE courses on those, they can study, they can do anything they like,” Beth Brennan-Neumaier, New England North West consultant.
