Works to upgrade Manning Base Hospital will finally begin, by the end of this year, after the state budget delivered $10 million towards its redevelopment in the State Budget.
It’s part of a $20 million dollar commitment from the Baird government at the 2015 state election.
“In the last budget there was money there for the planning and design of the Stage 1 and in this budget $10 million dollars to start the construction works,” Member for Myall Lakes, Stephen Bromhead said.
The redevelopment will focus on a new oncology and renal unit.
