BUS CATCHES FIRE AT HEATHERBRAE

Passengers were left stranded this afternoon, after a bus caught fire off the Pacific Highway at Port Stephens.

Emergency services were called to Masonite Road at around one o’clock, arriving to see flames and smoke coming from the rear of the vehicle.

25 passengers escaped injury, thanks to the efforts of the driver and witnesses.

The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
