PANCREATIC CANCER FOUNDATION LAUNCHED IN COFFS HARBOUR

It’s hoped victims of pancreatic cancer will benefit from the establishment of a charitable foundation launched today in Coffs Harbour at Bishop Druitt College.

The former Chaplain at the school, Marion Tanfield, has been diagnosed with the disease, prompting her family and friends to raise money for much needed research.

367,000 people will be diagnosed worldwide this year alone with pancreatic cancer it’s the 12th most common cancer in the world and sadly only five per cent of those people will last five years.

The Marion Magnolia Foundation is planning a series of fundraising events for next year.
