**A mini tornado has ripped through a small village on the mid north coast.
The wild storm hit Red Rock, north of Coffs Harbour this morning, tearing the roof off the town’s bowling club.
Meanwhile, the flood threat for the northern parts of the far north coast has eased.
Evans Head recorded the highest rainfall overnight, recording 69-millimetres in 24 hours.
**The Evans Head Memorial Aerodrome Committee is calling for remediation work at the airport site to stop.
The group says contaminated soils at the site are flowing into local creeks and waterways.
