A wide-scale baiting operation will get underway later this week in the Guy Fawkes National Park, east of Armidale.
From Tuesday, baits will be scattered to reduce the number of wild dogs and foxes.
Wild horses will also be trapped and removed.
The operation is part of a bush fire recovery program, to help native wildlife recover from last year’s devastating Bees Nest blaze.
