PACIFIC HIGHWAY FUNDS SLASHED

Returning the state government’s mini budget and the NRMA has slammed the decision to slash $300-million from Pacific Highway upgrades over the next four years.
President Alan Evans described the decision as highway robbery which will have disastrous effects on the upgrade of one of the state’s most dangerous roads.
He said fears about the current economic climate were no justification for the government to forgo its responsibility towards road infrastructure.
