North Shore residents are set to receive a new sewerage scheme after years of relying on septic tanks.
The $1.7-million project will connect the North Shore, North Shore West, Sandfly Alley and Corilla Estate to Port Macquarie’s sewerage plant.
The scheme is expected to reduce the number of septic tanks that are leaking into the Hastings River.
Tenders are now being called for the design and construction phases.
