Former Newcastle City player Sarah Halvorsen will make her debut in the AFLW competition this Saturday, when the Giants take on Richmond at Wagga Wagga.
Coach Alan McConnell says the 24-year-old is being rewarded for her persistence, with the engineer still commuting from Newcastle to Sydney for every training session.
