DRUGS AND CASH SEIZED IN NEWCASTLE
Police have seized drugs and more than $120,00 in cash during raids on several homes across Newcastle.
Four men were arrested when homes in New Lambton Heights and Warners Bay, as well as a unit in Charlestown were raided by heavily armed tactical response group officers around 9.30 this morning.
At the Charlestown address they allegedly found more than 2 kilos of amphetamines and $100,000 in cash.
At Warners Bay $22,000 was seized along with ecstacy, marijuana and amphetamines.
A 20-year-old man from Charlestown and his 26-year-old brother have been arrested along with a 62-year-old man from Charlestown and a 29-year old man from Warners Bay.
The raids were the culmination of three months work by a strikeforce investigating the supply of drugs across Newcastle.
