NORTH COAST DAD DIES IN TIGER MOTH CRASH

It’s been confirmed that the passenger who was killed in a vintage Tiger Moth aircraft crash yesterday came from the North Coast.
The aircraft came down shortly after take off, during a joy-flight at Pimpana on the Gold Coast.
The front seat passenger died at the scene.
He was 58-year-old, father of two, Gary Turnbull, from Coutts Crossing near Grafton.
The retired train driver and para gliding enthusiast was thought to be holidaying in the area.
South Coast pilot, 21-year-old Ryan Campbell suffered serious injuries.
Campbell made the record books back in 2013 as the youngest teenager to fly solo around the world.
