Counting is underway to see if last night’s star gazing attempt in fact broke the record books.
Tamworth and Armidale were among 122 sites trying to break the current world record for the most people stargazing in one country at one time.
Telescopes and binoculars were out, with participants watching the moon for 10 minutes straight.
