Plenty of that over Christmas. Isolated storms have flared up again today across the Upper Hunter and Mountains adjacent to the mid-north coast. Christmas day is going to start out quite hot and the storm development is going to be more widespread so a greater number of people will be affected by these storms particularly in the afternoon so be prepared.

Boxing Day will be yet another day of isolated storms. It should remain fine and hot in the far north-east corner of NSW and south-east QLD until Friday.
