WINNING ART CHALLENGE WORKS ON SHOW AT BROUGH HOUSE

Our voices, our future, was the theme for the Schools Reconciliation art challenge ahead of NAIDOC week.
As part of a regional tour, the winning artworks have landed at Brough house in Maitland.
The annual challenge is run throughout New South Wales and the ACT.
On Friday, volunteers, staff and students participated in a smoking ceremony and dances, and together they created an artwork.
“We were really happy to bring the communities together and talk about the issues that are really important in Indigenous communities,” said National Trust Hunter Museum Officrer Deb Mastello.
The exhibition will continue for three weeks.
