Country forward Tariq Sims admits he and his brother don’t talk much during the rugby league rep season, thanks to Korbin’s decision to play for Queensland.
But Tariq says the family is united when it comes to his sister Ruan, who’ll captain the Jillaroos tomorrow night.
“Very special moment. I know my whole family is going up to Newcastle … coming out to Tamworth and supporting me. She’s a special person. She’s sorted us out a couple of times.”
Ruan has a target on her back, with the Kiwi captain saying containing her will be key.
“They’re strong up the middle and fast on the edges … shut them down early so they can’t shift the ball wide or go through us.”
