FISHERMEN RESCUE STRUGGLING WHALE

A glorious day on the water has taken a dramatic turn off Lake Macquarie, with two spear-fishermen rescuing a young whale struggling to make its way north.

The mammal had become caught in someone else’s fishing gear – the pair likely saving its life.
