Former Farrer student John Porch has taken the next step in his rugby union career, with the 21-year-old named in Australia’s Sevens squad.
Next weekend’s tournament in Wellington will be his first time representing the Thunderbolts.
The selection rewards Porch for his strong performances in the National Rugby Championship, which saw him score three tries.
Australia will face Portugal, Canada and Kenya in the group stage.
