A stolen ute has been destroyed after it was set alight around 5-o’clock this morning.
Narrabri Fire and Rescue crews were called to the river bank in Violet Street, where they located the vehicle engulfed in flames.
The fire had also spread to nearby grass and trees.
Crews recognised the vehicle and contacted the owner, who confirmed it had been stolen from a Narrabri address.
The matter is now under police investigation.
