A major contract has been awarded for the Grafton Correctional Centre.
The $20 million plumbing and electrical works contract went to Lismore-based company, Laser Plumbing and Electrical.
They’ll work alongside other north coast businesses on the 1700-bed facility, which is set to open in 2020.
Local member, Chris Gulaptis says the project will inject $560 million into the local economy over the next 20 years.
