HEMP EMBASSY CAUTIOUSY WELCOMES CANNABIS REFORM RECOMMENDATIONS

The president of the Australian Hemp Party has cautiously welcomed an Upper House recommendation to legalise marijuana for medicinal purposes.
If adopted by the State Government, terminally ill patients will be able to carry up to 15 grams of dried cannabis to use for pain relief.
“I’m cautious because it is only recommendations. It’s now up to the politicians, But I think that if Mr O’Farrell changed his mind on Gay Marriage why wouldn’t he do it on medical cannabis.”
“I think a surprisingly large number of people will benefit especially in my experience as a GP in Nimbin. Over the years I have seen many patients who have benefited from adding cannabis to their pain killing regime.”
