POLICE INJURED IN COLLISION

Two police officers were injured on the weekend when a stolen car collided with their vehicle in Millers Forest.

Police began patrolling the area at 11.30pm on Sunday night after reports a stolen Holden Commodore had crashed into a fence on Adelaide Street.

It’s alleged the driver of the stolen car attempted to turn from Carpenter Street onto Adelaide Street when it collided with the police car.

Two male officers were taken to John Hunter Hospital with injuries, however neither of the 16-year-old boys in the stolen vehicle was injured.

The boys were taken to Raymond Terrace Police Station but have since been released.
