The push to reinstate Tamworth’s winching operations has taken a step forward with MP Kevin Anderson tasked with conducting a local review.
It follows a meeting with Health Minister Jillian Skinner yesterday, where she requested research and data about the region’s rescue missions.
Mr Anderson is expected to meet with Westpac Rescue Helicopter staff, doctors and paramedics to source relevant information.
The helicopter service was ordered to cease winching operations in 2013.
