FIREFIGHTERS DESPERATELY TRY TO SAVE JIGGI HOME FROM FLAMES

Water from a swimming pool was used as firefighters desperately tried to save a Jiggi from fire today.
Emergency services were called just after 10:30AM, but by the time they arrived the property was well alight.
“Because of the nature of the fire and the water supply issues we had, we conducted defensive strategy on the house which basically means surround the house once we confirmed no one was inside and extinguish best we can.”
Firefighters used water from seven fire trucks, and a swimming pool, to extinguish the blaze.
The fire is being treated as suspicious.
