Former Tour de France stage winner Robbie McEwen has announced he’ll race in Sunday’s Mick Chapman Memorial Criterium in Newcastle.

Local pro cyclist Joe Lewis will also feature in the star-studded field.

The Mick Chapman criterium is on Sunday and not Saturday, I should know as I put the traffic management plan together for the event.
