The Newcastle Northstars have returned home from Perth with a win and a loss, following a double header in the Australian Ice Hockey League.
After winning five-three on Saturday, the Thunder made it one-all early on Sunday night.
But from there the Northstars took control, eventually running out winners, seven goals to three.
Newcastle remains in second spot with four games left in the regular season.
