Former Anglican Dean of Newcastle, Graeme Lawrence will be stripped of all civic honours following his child sex conviction yesterday.
A council spokesperson today confirmed the 76-year-old will no longer hold the Freeman of the City of Newcastle and Citizen of the Year awards.
Lawrence was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy back in 1991, at his home at Christ Church Cathedral.
Sentencing will begin in September.
