A firefighter has been injured during a horse rescue south of Nabiac, on the mid-north coast.
Last night at around 7.40pm, the Taree Rescue Squad and Forster Fire and Rescue were called out to help rescue the horse which was stuck in a dam.
A firefighter was kicked in the leg and was taken to hospital.
