A 75-year-old man has died in a two-vehicle crash on the New England Highway in the Hunter Valley.
The Singleton man was behind the wheel of a Ford Falcon when it collided with a ute near the intersection of Racecourse Lane at Whittingham, at around 6 o’clock on Thursday evening.
He was pronounced dead the scene.
The driver of the Mitsubishi Triton, a 42-year-old man was taken to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to contact local police.
