Friends say a local rugby referee who passed away from a heart attack on Saturday will be sorely missed.
Ian Hooper was stepping in to officiate a game when he collapsed on the field, later passing away in hospital.
A Go Fund Me page is being set up and details of his funeral will be posted on the Far North Coast Rugby Referees Association website.
