In Round 8 of the Hunter’s NPL competition, Broadmeadow beat Weston five-three last night this afternoon, Charlestown City edged out Valentine three-two.
The Blues raced out of the blocks., Rio Nishiura with a spectacular opener, chipping the Valentine keeper from distance.
When Rene Ferguson added a third for Charlestown City midway through the half, the visitors looked unstoppable.
Valentine showed plenty of fight to claw back two goals, but couldn’t steal a point in the second half.
