Traffic is beginning to ease after an earlier crash on the New England Highway at Hexham.

There’s significant delays on the New England Highway at Hexham, after a crash involving four cars and a truck.
It’s understood the crash happened just past the Hexham Bridge at around 1:30 on Tuesday afternoon.
Westbound traffic is banked up around six kilometres, while for those heading into Newcastle, there’s delays back to the Weakleys Drive intersection.
Traffic is also heavy on surrounding roads, including the Pacific Highway and Tomago Road.
