BOTTOM BEATS TOP IN THE NPL AS ROOSTERS EDGE OUT JETS YOUTH

In the Hunter’s National Premier League competition, bottom beat top today as Lake Macquarie edged out the Jets Youth 2-1.
The Jets Youth created early chances, Benjamin Hay with the first opportunity.
At the other end, Sam Walker had the Roosters’ best opening, but Jesse Cook had him covered.
A few minutes later, Jarrod Olivieri gave Lake Macquarie the lead, forcing the ball home from a corner.
The Roosters then had a call go against them as the Jets Youth appeared to make a back pass.
Beau McDonald found some space to level the score shortly before the break, but the home side grabbed all three points.
