Lake Macquarie rider Tom Edwards has made an uncharacteristically slow start to the World Supersport 300 series in Spain.
Edwards qualified 29th for the opening race, before making his way through the field in the early laps.
He climbed as high as 15th with five laps to go, but couldn’t crack the top 10.
There was good news for his new team, with Manuel Gonzalez winning the race.
