A new study has found long-term renters in the Byron Shire are being forced out of their homes because of platforms like Airbnb.
The study by Southern Cross University found that of those asked to leave their rental properties, over 60 percent said it was because the property was listed on Airbnb.
The research results have already been shared with the community and presented to Byron Shire Council.
