An 83-year-old man has died after the car he was driving left the road and hit a tree south of Lismore.
Police have been told the man was travelling along Bungawalbin-Whiporie Road at around 7 o’clock this morning, when he lost control.
The Bungawalbin man died at the scene.
Police are now working to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
